Very powerful ad blocking SIMBL plug in, with the ability to set rules for adverts, animations and scripts per-site (as in Omniweb 5). It also has the ability to apply custom css and javascript to individual sites.

Sites can easily be excluded from PithHelmet’s blocking rules via the context menu.

The latest version can be a little complex to set up, but it’s worth all the effort. I’ve heard this described as the best ad blocking software for any browser – I can believe it.

Also includes:

  • New countermeasures for popunder ads (These are fairly aggressive, so PithHelmet is shipped with them turned off for the time being)
  • A javascript console that will allow you to run a script in the context of the current web page and interactively tinker and inspect the results
