GreaseKit (was called Creammonkey) is an InputManager extension, that intends to emulate Greasemonkey’s custom javascript functionality for Safari.

Once installed, it adds a smiley menu – . User scripts for GreaseKit are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/GreaseKit/.user.js (in which * is the URL of the site you want to add custom javascript to). When you visit a site which URI has “.user.js” suffix, GreaseKit shows an “Install” sheet.

GreaseKit also enables this functionality for other webkit applications, such as Mailplane.

With careful scripting, Matt Sephton has created a range of scripts available that work in both Greasemonkey, and GreaseKit.

Changes for 1.0

  • Renamed from Creammonkey to GreaseKit.
  • Added support of all WebKit-based applications.
