SafariStand tricks

Some people may have SafariStand installed, but aren’t aware of some its funkiness.
First, you can open the bookmarks and history search windows, normally viewed in the ‘stand bar, in the main safari window, with the following links:
For the bookmark searching window:
safaristand://jp.hetima.bookmark/
or for the history searching window:
safaristand://jp.hetima.history/
or just drag these links to your toolbar:
Search Bookmarks | Search History
These ‘count’ as a normal site, so they also be reached again can selected in History.
Next up is the ‘action menu’. To enable this, go to Stand>SafariStand Setting. At the bottom, where it says “Make Action menu instead of:” change that to a toolbar icon you don’t use (I’ve used the ‘Send Bug Report’ button). This then gives you the action menu where you can:
- Copy URL
- Copy Title
- Copy link tag
- View HTTP Header
- View related cookies (and delete all, or individual cookies)
- View sub resources (Images, CSS, Flash files etc). Choosing a file from this menu will open it in a new window.
Last of all, a little nicety are ‘bookmark labels’. Simply add a bookmark folder with a label like this:
-:-label here
When viewed in the menu, a subtle grey label is shown.
