Quick Tip: Extend Safari's History
Feb 20, 08:28 pm
If you want Safari’s history beyond the default week limit, you can do so in Terminal (found in /Applications/Utilities). Launch Terminal, and at the prompt type either or both:
defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitHistoryItemLimit 1000
defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitHistoryAgeInDaysLimit 90
Changing the numbers to your taste. You could set ‘WebKitHistoryAgeInDaysLimit’ to 365 to get a full year, but remember, the larger the history cache, the more of a performance hit that you have to to take!
